Leidos Defense Group is looking for a Web Application Firewall Security Engineer to work on the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Cyberspaces Operations Forces’ (COF) program located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The COF mission is to provide Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) Operations, defensive cyber operations-internal defensive measures, and overall cyberspace operations in support of USTRANSCOM network systems and missions. The candidate will work closely with network service providers to install, configure, and service network-enabled devices and associated software. Other related infrastructure support activities are focused on system design sustainment support for the Government-furnished cybersecurity defense tool suites. This includes monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network devices as coordinated with service providers along with coordinating scheduled outages with service providers and customers.

Provide risk-based recommendations to the Government related to change requests for cybersecurity defense configurations (e.g., firewall rules, proxy service exceptions, WAF rules).
Perform quarterly reviews of implemented cybersecurity defense filtering rules, exceptions, and log availability and content.
Maintain WAF compliance with Government requirements.
Develop/maintain WAF rule sets to ensure secure USTRANSCOM Command and Control communications and minimize impact to host applications.
Bachelors with 3 years of experience OR Masters with 1 year of experience OR 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
Active Secret clearance
DoD 8570 Compliant certifications to include IAT-II at start, and willing to earn CSSP-A and CSSP-IR. 6-month waiver to be granted in lieu of current CSSP certifications.
Experience with any of the following tools: F5 BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) policy development / administration and Palo Alto
Requires an active Secret security clearance

Pay Range:Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00
