The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and currently has an opening for an Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO) System Engineer located at Ft. Meade, MD.
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must hold an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance . (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support MS Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO) security on a team working to establish requirements, research, and evaluate problems in the development of solutions and architectures to support a secure infrastructure in MS Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
•Accountable for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment to meet the customer requirements.
•Support system integration, system evaluation and analysis, site surveys, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems and architectures.
•Conduct research of current system GPO’s against the STIG’s and ACAS findings to support development of strategic implementation plans and designs, document and mitigate risks as well as lessons learned, and provide regular updates.
•Research and work with vendors and various groups, such as R&D, Server, and Network teams, and provide recommendations on how to leverage GPO’s for emerging technology to improve cyber security posture.
•Conduct engineering technical research to support resolving issues through application of engineering theories and concepts.
•Support the operational assessment and documentation of systems security and compliance posture to maintain accreditation.
•Provide input to project schedules, identify, and mitigate risks, document lessons learned, and deliver regular updates to stakeholders.
•Report security status to key stakeholders.
•Requires flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed.
•This position will involve minimal travel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•MS Windows engineering design and operations experience.
•Prior work history in System Development Life Cycle
•DoD IAT Level II certification is required before start.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Microsoft Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or other related certifications or specialty experience.
•ServiceNow experience.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
