Job Description:
Leidos is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team responsible for the integration, operations, and sustainment of various operational and in-development systems. The candidate for this position will support development tasks to enable the customer to leverage custom code and python libraries/scripts to create server clusters for large scale analysis jobs. This development will leverage program architecture in a virtual desktop solution.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary duties will be to support the development of a compute cluster project to enable custom code to create server clusters for large scale analysis jobs.
Create GitLab Projects to house services.
Create GitLab runner with software and privileges to run services.
Create EC2 IAM Instance roles that will be associated with the GitLab runner with privileges to execute jobs.
Investigate Code/Job needs for logging to provide status (CW, GITLAB ingest) and script inclusion of status items into GITLAB.
Create and Maintain DevOps documentation.
Once DevOps pipelines are mature, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to other development and activities.
Basic Qualifications
Understanding of custom code development/reviews
Direct experience with Python scripting
Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting
Familiar with AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudWatch, IAM, EMR)
Experience supporting development testing
Experience with cloud-based architectures
Understanding of DevOps methodologies and workflow
Knowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.

CI/CD experience
AWS Certifications
Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
