Leidos is looking for a Software Tester to join a high performing agile team to support a nationally significant Internal Revenue Service (IRS) program. This position offers the opportunity to work remote approximately 90%.The program is using test automation tools alongside a full suite of team collaboration tools. Program execution follows DEVOPS best practices and employs robust development, test, and production environments. The program provides system engineering, development, test, integration, and operational support to a large, fast-paced program, and is developing infusing new technology and adding advanced capabilities while continuing to support an ongoing mission and operational system. This position requires someone who is proactive and passionate about ensuring the quality of software deliverables and continuous improvement, as well as, and can communicate with the development teams what is required to achieve this effectively on tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
Understand user needs and tests software solutions through clear communication with product owner and scrum team members
Based on requirements, collaborate with team members in the development of test plans
At conclusion of test, prepares end of test report
Tests software within a cloud environment customized to IRS requirements, with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
Is a team player capable of high performance and flexibility in a dynamic working environment
Executes stringent unit testing of delivered code to verify that it meets all functional requirements.
Test complete applications and re-tests results of bug fixes and security scans
Conducts final integrations testing, as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Your GPA needs to be included on your application and resume.
US Citizenship Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the customer.
Experience/Knowledge with Java
Experience/Knowledge with JavaScript
Communicates with internal and client project team members.
Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
Experience/knowledge of developing solutions to technical problems and issues
Requires ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation, similar to a Public Trust Clearance and up to date on all tax filings and tax payments
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in software development
Experience testing software products on projects in an IRS/Treasury environment
Experience testing software on an Agile development team
Knowledge of Jenkins and the CLM Suite
Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
