Leidos has a need for a Facilities Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) located at ERDC in Vicksburg MS. The successful candidate will serve as part of the Facilities Team for HPC engineering and operations.


Leidos, is a subcontractor on the HITS-U II (High Performance Computing Modernization Program Integrated Technical Services II) contract, responsible for monitoring and upgrading facility infrastructures to support the ERDC DSRC high performance computing systems, including all critical power and mechanical infrastructure, such as, Chiller Plants, Air Handlers, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, Transfer Switches, UPS Systems, and all other critical infrastructure.
Candidate will have to be able to work closely with subcontractors to schedule and/or supervise preventive maintenance, and/or 7x24 emergency repair on Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure items such as; Chiller Plants, Stand Alone Chillers, CRAC’s, CRAH’s, Building Control Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, Generators, PDU’s, and transformers.


Candidate will work closely with other team staff, subcontractor, and customer personnel to resolve facilities problems and offer cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities will include Information Technology (IT) facilities engineering and support needed to meet HPCMP and DSRC IT infrastructure and facilities requirements. The successful candidate will support planning, design and oversight of HPC facility changes/upgrades to ensure the unique HPC IT requirements are satisfied. The facilities engineer will document and maintain the facilities configuration and operate the facility infrastructure to optimize system availability and capacity.


This position requires a Secret clearance as part of a basic requirement of the contract. Applicants should hold and maintain a Secret clearance.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience (equivalent experience may be substituted for the degree)

Must hold an Active Secret Clearance


Preferred Experience, & Skills
with Honeywell – Niagra environmental monitoring control system, ArciCad, Power and Cooling capacity planning
Knowledge of power generation and UPS systems, I.T. space Cooling, commercial construction experience, and knowledge in reading and maintaining electrical/mechanical drawings

Pay Range:

Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00
