Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) is responsible for providing eligible program participants with compensable service-connected disabilities, all services and assistance necessary to enable them to the maximum extent possible, to become employable and to obtain and maintain suitable employment and achieve maximum independence in daily living. This positions is classified at REMOTE and PART-TIME.
The Configuration Manager will help the VR&E team ensure that the performance, function, and appearance of our products (both software and documentation) are consistent throughout the program’s lifecycle. This involves providing guidance on managing requirements, design and operational information through each release cycle. The Configuration Manager will also assist with the development of the various plans and releases. The Configuration Manager must have a bachelor’s degree, 2 years of experience and has worked on Agile programs/projects in the past.
Plan and execute CM throughout the program lifecycle, including development, deployment/release, security and sustainment
Oversee the daily management of configuration items
Review release and deployment plans
Create, review, update and implement configuration management processes.
Ensure the program team follows CM processes.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience
Experience with configuration management tools
Experience in managing complex IT programs
Excellent researching, decision-making, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with others and work independently with minimal supervision
Familiar with basic professional software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Detail oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Due to US Government contract, US Citizenship is required
Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $72,000.00 - $97,200.00
