Leidos could use your Configuration Management talent in support a newly awarded and dynamic DoD contract at Fort Meade!

The Leidos NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) program is currently seeking a proactive, driven, and results oriented self-starter with innovative skills to join our team as a Configuration Management Specialist in support of the NEC SE&I Division at Fort Meade, MD. The SE&I Division serves as the principal enterprise systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technical authority for the NC3 Enterprise within the Department of Defense. Our customer applies and remains up to date on systems engineering best practices while remaining agile when translating mission and operational requirements into appropriate technical specifications and solutions.  


What will you do in this role? 

•    Implement CM process to collect and manage configuration changes of configuration items and raise issues through existing Senior level Steering Groups structure as required.

•    Develop recommendations for the overall implementation strategy, management and execution processes and configuration management tools.

•    Identifying and maintaining the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation.

•    Maintaining configuration change control. Supporting the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Supporting audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.

•    Identify the systems and their evolutionary schedules that comprise Nuclear C3 Enterprise and define the Configuration Items (CIs) at the NC3 functional level.

What qualifications does the role require?

•    Active Top Secret /SCI security clearance.
•    Bachelor's degree in relevant technical discipline or Configuration Data Management Certification (CDM) and at least five years of prior relevant experience.  
•    Experience supporting configuration management of military communications systems (e.g., long haul transport, telephony, voice/video, mobile computing, SATCOM).
•    Experience supporting configuration management planning. Describing provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
•    Demonstrated ability to support configuration planning and maintaining configuration change control.
•    Familiarity with CM aspects of the Department of Defense (DOD) acquisition processes for systems, software, and hardware under the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF). 
•    Experience and/or familiarity with configuration management standards.

What qualifications does the program prefer?

•    Experience working with senior Nuclear C3 community stakeholders such as NEC, USSTRATCOM, the Joint Staff, and OSD.
•    Knowledge of the Five Pillars of Configuration Management (CM) and experience in the practical application of Five Pillars CM framework.
•    Experience working with Configuration Management issues in a Federated Network environment.
•    Working knowledge of AF Form 1067 "Modification Proposal" and of DD Form 1692 “Engineering Change Proposal” as they both apply to the Configuration Management process.
•    Experience working with Product Life Cycle Management software application such as Siemens Teamcenter and/or CMPRO Magic.
•    Experience working Architecture and Modeling/MBSE software applications such as Catia-Magic Draw and/or Sparx Systems Enterprise Architecture.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00
