The Defense Group at Leidos, supporting the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) Program, is seeking a Logistics Manager to support a dynamic high growth organization. The MUSV program is based in Port Hueneme, CA, and is responsible for delivering cutting edge autonomous vessel technology to the US Navy. The program operates and maintains prototype autonomous vessels for test and evaluation of the vessels as well as developing operations, maintenance, logistics and training procedures for the autonomous Fleet of the future. We are seeking resilient, innovative team-players with a reputation for excellence. This position will be on-site in Port Hueneme. We are expecting award in March 2023.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage waterfront logistics for USVs in homeport
Contribute to analytical efforts in support of prototype vessels’ long-term sustainment, to include Configuration Management for logistics support; preventative maintenance procedures; technical manuals; plans and reports; parts and spares lists, and training manuals.
Plan and execute logistics for USV deployments
Coordinate with US Navy managers, shipboard personnel, purchasers, and vendors to support USV operations and maintenance.
Manage development of Integrated Logistics programs for USVs.
Support development of USV Logistics procedures and manuals for USV operations and maintenance
Supervise a Planner / Expediter and a Shipping & Receiving employee
Function as the supervisor for Leidos employees assigned to the M/OUSV program from the Navy and Air Force Sustainment (NAFS) division.
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field plus 3+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree and five 5+ years of experience, or an associate’s degree and ten 10 years of relevant experience.
Relevant management managing inventory, parts ordering, re-stocking, trend analysis, and shipping for DoD logistics programs.
Experience with DoD Integrated Logistics systems (i.e OMMS-NG).
Experience working with US Navy In Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) managers for ship or combat systems sustainment
US Citizenship required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in the US Navy supply system Experience with Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) Autonomy and remote mission systems.
Experience conducting test and evaluation of experimental unmanned maritime systems at sea
Pay Range:
Pay Range $75,400.00 - $116,000.00 - $156,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
