The Maritime Systems Division (MSD) of Leidos develops, integrates, and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions for a range of customers across the Department of Defense (DoD). Our Lynnwood, WA facility is expanding its operations based on significant business growth and is seeking new talent to join our expanding manufacturing team. Primary Responsibilities
As an Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer, you are a key member of a small team of empowered professionals entrusted to champion the transformation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of all systems affecting the manufacturing cycle for both new and existing products. - Collaborating with engineers to perform design for assembly and design for manufacturing activities.
- Creating standard work for new products including process flow diagrams, work cell design, work instructions and test procedures.
- Designing manufacturing tooling and test fixtures and establishing a maintenance program for all equipment.
- Engaging in formal continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and ensuring a clean, organized workplace.
- Contributing to the layout of facility and the set-up of workspaces.
- Building a cohesive relationship with other manufacturing team members and demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
- Provides training and mentoring to production line workers.
- Demonstrating your passion to learn and apply new knowledge and skills gained from senior executive mentoring.
Basic Qualifications
- A solid background in the assembly and test of complex electro-mechanical products.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain facts, basic analysis, processes and practices
- Excellent writing and visual presentation skills
- A willingness to learn and apply new principles and practices
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in lean manufacturing
Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $72,000.00 - $97,200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
