The Principal ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Developer will serve as the key technical resource contributing the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) implementation. The successful candidate will have fluency in ServiceNow SAM processes and module development principles that enables team lead and stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our customer that leverages industry processes and best practices. Preference is candidate’s local to DMV, but accepting out-of-state candidates. Preference is East Coast Time Zone, but not required. Must work between 7am-5pm. Candidate much be a dedicated resource (not supporting other contracts).

Foundation for Success (Basic Qualifications):
This experience is the foundation a candidate needs to be successful in this position:
- 7 years of direct development experience with the ServiceNow platform – ITAM including SAM, CMDB, Discovery, MID Servers, Workflow/Notifications, Workspaces, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Catalog Client Scripts, Catalog UI Policies, Email Scripts, ACL Roles / Groups.
- 5 years of experience with importing and exporting data to ServiceNow using data loads, transform maps and transform scripts.
- 5 years of experience developing ServiceNow SAM Implementations.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - Software Asset Management (SAM)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

- Serve as the Principal ServiceNow application developer responsible for implementing Software Asset Management solution design using best industry and ServiceNow practices
- Facilitate requirements gathering and document requirements
- Design and develop solutions within the ServiceNow environment to include new or modifications to applications, forms, flow, workflow, UI policies, UI actions, Business Rules, ACLs, UI Builder, and any other configurations required to support client processes
- Translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with the team lead.
- Develop JavaScript server/client code.
- Create and use update sets and XMLs to move customer configuration and data between environments
- Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.
- Participate in discovery sessions and process definitions with team lead and other developers
- Lead efforts and provide guidance in requirements gathering and developing/documenting process workflows
- Develop ServiceNow solutions and push developments from DEV to TEST to PROD using Agile methodologies
- Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
- Work with highly experienced and technical resources

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
