Job Description:
The Leidos Defense Group currently has an opening for an Air Force IT Chief Engineer in support of Air Force enterprise information technology programs and growth opportunities. Leidos is looking for a highly motivated technical leader with experience developing solutions, managing execution, and pursuing growth opportunities to enhance the Air Force mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the solution and sustainment teams across multiple performance-based contracts delivering IT services to Air Force customers worldwide.
Lead a team of professionals and technicians spanning a broad range of IT disciplines including networks, systems, applications, cybersecurity, logistics, asset management, and sustainment.
Development of solutions to meet service delivery requirements, tailoring of those solutions to specific Air Force/Space Force Bases and supported organizations, and implementation and sustainment of those solutions.
Delivery of all solutions and services on-time and exceeding performance and quality standards.
Proactively manage technical risks and opportunities, solving complex problems while balancing diverse stakeholders’ interests.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a related field and 12+ years of experience in related systems, activities and programs or a Masters degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience,
Minimum 8 years experience managing technical IT teams, with at least 4 years managing large IT service delivery teams or business units.
Minimum 5 years experience supporting US Defense Department customers.
Experience with performance-based contracts, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Experience with direct supervision of teams of at least 5 personnel, including authority for hiring, firing, promotion, and reward.
Experience managing complex and challenging customer environments.
Technical certification (e.g., Cisco or Microsoft).
Full DOD Secret clearance, minimum.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree.
Experience managing budgets of at least $5M annually.
Experience with global teams including performance overseas.
Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP).
PMP certification.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
