Leidos, a Fortune 500 science and technology leader, was awarded a new contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to design and implement a regional consolidated mail outpatient pharmacy system. Work will be performed in Shawnee, Kansas, where Leidos will establish a new, state-of-the-art facility for the VA. Using highly-automated processes with robotic devices, conveyor systems, and an integrated control system, this facility will be capable of accurately filling and shipping more than 100,000 prescriptions every day for U.S. military veterans and other eligible patients. The Leidos team will build and maintain this automated prescription fulfillment system using reliable production processes, increased efficiencies of scale, and robust platforms for future use.
We are expanding our team in Shawnee, Kansas. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Shipping and Receiving Clerk. Utilizing a combination of automated and manual procedures to prepare and dispense Over the Counter and legend drug prescriptions, bulk type prescriptions, unit-of-use, and medical/surgical products directly by mail to patients. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual filling equipment, and the preparation of prescription orders for mail-out dispensing.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Receive and log receipt & storage of stock
Verify bills of lading
Identify and reports discrepancies
Use forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, side loaders, etc.
Organize, arrange, assembles, and delivers stock in storage areas
Conduct cycle-counts on a regular basis using optical scanners to maintain inventory accuracy
Take direction for functions within your area and helping with other areas
Perform other related duties
REQUIRED SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
Must be able to read and communicate in English.
Able to visually inspect items for damage and completeness
Able to safely lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Military Background preferred
Pay Range:
Pay Range $31,200.00 - $48,000.00 - $64,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
