Leidos is seeking an experienced Avionics Installer/Line Tech. Duties include but are not limited to: fabrication and installation of wiring harnesses, integration of avionics systems to include, NAV, COMM and special mission equipment. Line service trouble shooting of avionics systems.
This position is located in Manassas, VA.
THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
Integrate wires/harnesses into aircraft.
Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needs.
Terminate connectors, to include coaxial cables.
Clamp harnesses.
Conduct Maintenance Operational Checks and Acceptance Test Procedures.
Troubleshoot faulty systems.
Utilize test sets, multimeters, DMC crimp tools, wire strippers, heat guns, etc.
Perform soldering as required.
Perform continuity and power checks.
Remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraft parts/systems.
Comply with processes and procedures as per DHS/Department of Defense (DOD) documents and publications.
Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety, violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques.
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
High school diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs while delivering a clean safe finished product.
Ability to read and follow wiring drawings as well as OEM technical publications.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Candidates will be required to undergo a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test prior to being hired or transferred into a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
Ability to:
Crawl in and out of tight spaces.
Comfortably work in confined areas in a kneeling or crouched position.
Lift, balance and carry up to 50 lbs.
Work in enclosed hangars as well as exterior in year-round weather conditions.
Work off site as required.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
FCC rating.
Experience in General Aviation, King Air, Challenger a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
