The Leidos NISC IV program is looking for a Technical Manager to join our team in Washington, DC and support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s Computer Aided Engineering Graphics (CAEG) Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and the coordination of team support to meet the goals and objectives of the Program Office. The candidate will support the CAEG P.O, the Program Manager, and the Task Order Manager on multiple projects and CAEG initiatives within the areas of planning, development, and the implementation of various systems & solutions and their reporting and operational maintenance. The ideal candidate must be able to handle multiple mission critical projects, submission of various reports, tracking of tools and licenses, coordinate with customers and stakeholders, handle communication, manage and mitigate risk and provide direction to the team. The candidate must have hands-on experience overseeing large and complex projects with high expectations while ensuring a quality outcome and setting customer expectations. Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously is required.
Primary Responsibilities
This position will require the candidate to be responsible for ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific project and task order deliverables. The candidate will also be responsible for the overall project plans, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, promotion, hiring, firing, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. The candidate will require ability to influence others outside of own area on policies, practices and procedures. The candidate will manage a team of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Proven leadership skills, independent worker, and able to deliver with minimal or no supervision
• Ability to lead an experienced and specialized team that handles various aspects of CAD, BIM, drafting, design documentation, document management, training administration and other systems and solutions
• Ability to handle technical issues and various projects related to the CAD drawings, their standards and environment migration, document management & backup systems and migration to cloud computing environment
• Ability to prepare and provide to the customer briefing packages of the projects, new initiatives and proposed business cases
• Demonstrated project management capabilities including: ability to lead evaluation of scope, resources, risk, dependencies, communications, and technical path forward on project
• Great organization skills to prioritize, follow up, deliver, and communicate status of assigned actions
• Experience participating in and leading meetings to discuss project execution, schedules, technical performance, and providing recommendations for improvements, as appropriate
• Experience in reviewing and comparing data based reports & metrics and summarizing them for upper management
• Demonstrated ability to engage customers to resolve root cause issues in a positive, non-adversarial manner
• Able to successfully handle customers’ expectations. Must have experience in interacting with and dealing with customer/clients
• Deep analytical skills to understand complex procedural problems, identify root causes, and provide solutions
• Experience with conducting research on specified topics, determining conclusions, and presenting the results in a logical and concise manner
• Ability to organize and gather data, conduct analysis, prepare reports and organized documentation without assistance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening for positions of public trust
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge and experience working with CAD and BIM solutions like AutoCAD and Revit
• Familiarity with Pinnacle suite(Previously ProductivityNOW) and AutoCAD training administration
• Familiarity with Bentley’s Electronic Document Management Solutions(EDMS) ProjectWise
• Experience coordinating CAD training for employees of a large organization
• PMP certification
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
