Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of FP&A for the Military and Veteran Health Solutions Operation (MVHS). MVHS is a premier Federal Health Solutions provider supporting active duty military and veterans.

The Senior Manager of FP&A leads all financial forecasting and reporting activities for this $1B+ organization.  The position reports directly to the VP of Finance and Business Operations (“F&BO”) for the organization. This is a key position within the operation responsible for establishing and orchestrating all FP&A related business rhythms across the divisions that make up the operation. This position is also a leader within the operation and is the primary FP&A interface to the Health Group. This position is relied on heavily by the Operation’s management team to perform data-driven analysis, creating executive level presentations and assisting the VP of F&BO, as well as Division finance management, in driving financial performance across the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development of the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and continuous forecast updates associated with the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cashflows
  • Coordinating the monthly financial close process including reporting results and performing analysis of variances between financial baselines
  • Communication of potential risks and opportunities against financial forecasts
  • Coordination of financial forecasting and reporting business rhythms across the organization’s  divisions and managing upwards to Group Heath FP&A
  • Monitoring and managing indirect costs metrics including, but not limited to: overhead cost pools, New Business Funds (“NBF”), Op level IHO, and time-sold/productivity
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Development organization to track and report on submits and awards. 
  • Reconcile backlog on a periodic basis to include awards, net bookings, and factoring
  • Develop presentation materials to support major financial reviews including AOP, Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Coordinate Estimate at Complete (EAC) updates through the Quarterly Financial Status Reviews (“QFSR”) process for the operation including determining when and which programs need be reviewed with by the Operation or Health Group
  • Continuous process improvement to increase forecasting accuracy across the organization
  • Provide FP&A training and guidance to the Operation’s Program Financial Analysts
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including contracts, procurement, revenue accounting, technical accounting, AR, AP, program excellence and treasury organizations to resolve issues timely

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Understanding revenue recognition methods
  • Knowledge of how differing contract types impact a program’s financials
  • Experience with FP&A planning tools (e.g. LPAS, Insight, etc)
  • Strong understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, an Statement of Cash Flow
  • Process improvement oriented

  • Strong accounting background in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with Government Contracting
  • Management Experience
  • Indirect Expense and Rates

Pay Range:

Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00
