We are in search of a Software Developer Intern who will support our team on a contract at the Indian Health Service, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services.
Leidos is seeking a talented Software Developer Intern who is ready to help design and develop software solutions for our clients in a fast-paced, real-world environment. This paid internship is full-time for a minimum of 8 weeks or maximum of 12 weeks during the summer depending on interns’ availability.
The intern will assist technology co-workers to review current application state, identify opportunity to fine tune applications and maximize efficiencies while following our code best practice standards. You will be part of a software development team maximizing our best-in-class customer experience! This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in information technology. The 100% telework position supports a contract for Indian Health Service, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services.

Primary Responsibilities
Working with a dynamic team to design, develop, integrate, test, transition to production, and maintain software applications.
Collaborate amongst various functional teams, analysts, and architects.
Work with web application technologies, including CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL.
Basic Qualifications
Must currently be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university in an Information Technology discipline such Software Development, Engineering, or Information Systems.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Has working knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL
Able to create process diagrams and write Test Plans
Fluent in Microsoft Windows operating system environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
US citizenship or permanent residency required
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to perform software troubleshooting and resolve operational issues.
Basic understanding of application and software development security principles.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Two years of academic or professional work experience.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
