Leidos has an opening for a DSO Flight Instructor at Hurlburt Field, FL. The selected candidate will serve as a training instructor providing classroom and flight instruction to airborne cryptologic technicians of the Joint Threat Warning system (JTWS) Air and follow-on systems. The candidate must possess an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will serves as the Direct Support Operator Instructor for initial and difference qualifications for 1A8X1 career field on AFSOC aircraft as well as re-qualification training. Responsible for training Career Enlisted Aviator students on mission planning, flight safety, airmanship, threat warning, TTPs and COMSEC procedures. Additional responsibilities include accurately capturing/logging student performance and developing individualized remedial training plans. Some travel for aircraft difference training may be required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience or Associates and 6 years of related experience. The candidate must be able to pass a flight physical and maintain flight status for the duration of employment. The candidate must have strong customer service skills to support dealing with a variety of military officers and civilian managers. The ideal candidate will have prior instructor experience. Must have the ability to work independently and function as part of a dynamic team. The candidate must also communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Patriot Excalibur (PEX). TS/SCI security clearance required on day 1.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $91,000.00 - $122,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
