Job Description:
The Leidos Innovations Center produces and sustains sensor systems supporting Homeland Defense. You’ll directly impact the Department of Defense’s Homeland Defense mission by improving survivability and decreasing vulnerability against foreign threat systems.
We are seeking a Radar System Engineer with a sensor background to collect, analyze, and identify trends in sensor data from cutting edge operational systems to provide insight and improvements to system performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in sensor performance analysis to include, signal processing, track processing and environmental effects.
In this role you will perform the following:
Identification and root cause analysis of system anomalies
Performance prediction and modelling of test scenarios
Analysis of test results, investigate discrepancies, and propose solutions to identified issues
Use mathematical models and simulation to provide system level analysis to support assessment of design changes
The successful candidate will have strong analytic and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of signal processing, tracking algorithms and filters
Complex systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, modeling and simulation
Experience with coding in MATLAB and bash, and additionally at least one language (C, C++, JAVA and/or Python)
Experience with modeling and simulation
Experience with Linux
4 or more years’ experience working with sensor systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics
DoD SECRET Clearance with the most recent investigation in the previous 6 years
Desired Skills
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Data Analytics, Physics or equivalent
Knowledge of radar principles

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
