Job Description:
Leidos is hiring an Aircraft Sustainment and Fuel Logistics Operational Energy Analyst in Washington, DC. Leidos supports the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Operational Energy) (SAF/IEN) with project management and policy support .
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research, Coordinate, consolidate, develop, and maintain SAF/IE’s Operational Energy Program governance and programmatic documents (e.g. AFIs, policies,), action plan recommendations, task and inquiry responses, and issue resolution action plans associated with aircraft drag reduction and propulsion system modernization programs.
- Provide detailed updates to leadership and interested parties by participating in meetings/forums and researching, coordinating, consolidating, developing and delivering/presenting associated meeting materials (e.g. slides, after action reports, minutes)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on current and future capabilities impacting Department of the Air Force operational energy capabilities through risk assessments and wargaming analysis support.
- Facilitate and provide guidance for milestone updates for the Department of the Air Forces Climate Action Plan objectives of improving operational energy intensity and adopting alternative energy sources.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant USAF aircraft maintenance/logistics experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant USAF experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Air Force Operations, either as maintenance/logistics or in support role HQ Air Force Staff, or other Higher Headquarters level experience preferred, specifically in Maintenance or Logistics/Sustainment division.
- Experience with Technical Writing and strong communication skills preferred.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
