Leidos is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with proven experience to join the JSP Platform Services team in Norfolk, VA.

Create to develop new technical solutions and systems to meet customer requirements.
Provide technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration.
Must demonstrate expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Demonstrate day-to-day adherence with change management precepts and practices and is responsible for writing Change Requests and seeking approval.
Troubleshoot and resolve unique or complex problems elevated to SME level support.
Prepare technical documentation, drawings and diagrams that explains recommended required actions.
Interface and lead subordinate technical staff during design, build, and O&M tasking.
Apply DISA STIGs and resolve security vulnerabilities.
Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production.
Lead teams with O&M activities and tasking
BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, will accept additional applicable experience in lieu of degree.
Possess DoD 8570.01/DoD 8140 Certification Security+ CE.(IAT Level II Certification)
Possess certification in VMWare -VCP 6.x (Will accept VCA), or alternative Operating system
Certification (MS Server, Linux).
Active DoD issued minimum Secret clearance.
Proficient understanding of technology areas such as VMware VCenter, Horizon View, VDI technology and management, in addition to Microsoft server OS.
Co-design, test, and execute hardware and software technology enhancements
Expert understanding virtual image creation, maintenance, testing and deployment.
Implement DoD STIG requirements and patch and update/vulnerability mitigation.
Proficient, high level understanding of networking concepts and Zero Client connectivity and Teradici management.
Proficient, high level understanding with troubleshooting VMWare VCenter, Horizon, ESXi hypervisor and Microsoft OS computing solutions to include Win10, Server 2016- 2019
Proficient experience with configuring and managing VMWare Insta-clone and AppVolume technology
Proficient experience with application deployment and vulnerability mitigation management using MS SCCM/MECM
Proficient experience with ACAS and McAfee Endpoint Security
Hands-on experience with reviewing system logs and events to resolve issues.
Demonstrated analytical approach to solve complex problems in a large-scale, and multi datacenter environment.
Develop and provide solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact testing and production computing enclaves.
Experienced with creating and managing critical system work instruction and Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
Experience with allocating and managing SAN Storage and LUN management
Experience with managing Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO)
Occasional weekend and/or after-hours work may be required during surge and maintenance evolutions.
Experience using PowerShell script.
Experience using HPE 3Par or Dell PowerStore
Preferred Certification: VMWare VCP 6.x or higher.
Pay Range:Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
