Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work at Ft. Bragg, NC. The Software Engineer will assist with software development and software testing by leveraging existing and continuing experience to sustain, maintain, test, and upgrade system capability. The Software Engineer will assist in the evaluation of system design and integration in accordance with applicable DoD standards and policies.
Primary Responsibilities
Clearance/Citizenship:
Applicant must have active TS/SCI security clearance at date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Computing Environment - Linux and Windows OS.
Education:
BA/BS in field of Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and 4-6 years total work experience.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience Linux system administration.
- 4+ years of experience with Python or other oriented language.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
- Working knowledge of git and or gitlab in DevOps context
- Working knowledge of Ansible and or similar provisioning technology is highly desired
- Working knowledge of VMWARE, VSphere and ESXi and APIs is highly desired
Knowledge:
Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present technical information to reviewers in oral and written formats.
- Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
- Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
