The Defense Group at Leidos is currently bidding a proposal in assistance of the Project Manager Mission Command Support Center Network Operations Center in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. We are in search of experienced candidates as Applications Software Developers – Intermediate.

Duties Include:

Responsible for conducting or participating in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responsible for devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities.

Necessary Background, Skills, and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant background.

• Certifications: Information Assurance Technical Level II certification; Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions.

Clearance Needed:

• U.S. citizenship with a current DoD Secret clearance.
