Leidos is seeking an IT Technician to be based at the ATF National Academy, located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA.
The ATF National Academy trains all incoming new ATF Special Agents and Industry Operations Investigators.
As the onsite IT technician, the individual selected for this position will:
- Provide IT support for permanent staff at the ATF National Academy;
- Ensure that the ATF National Academy classrooms and the IT associated with those classrooms is fully functional at all times;
- Assist with the IT aspects of on-boarding new employees, to include ensuring that their user accounts and computers are provided in a timely manner;
- Provide physical touch labor in support of a small number of servers located at the ATF National Academy;
- Perform other job functions as assigned.
The person selected for this position will be the only IT person on site at FLETC most of the time, and will be responsible for providing a seamless IT experience for all students and staff. The successful candidate will need to be able to respond to multiple requests, and effectively prioritize tasks in coordination with management and with the customer. Excellent communication skills are required to ensure that accurate information is provided to the customer at all times.
Hours of support are anticipated to be normal business hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Training requirements or system problems may periodically require deviations from these support hours.
Candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer’s information. Current clearance is not required, but selected individual cannot start the assignment until the required security clearance is granted by the customer. This process is currently taking 10+ weeks.
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma with 3+ years experience
- Experience providing technical support to Windows workstations
- Experience documenting work in a trouble ticketing system
- Experience providing user support
- Excellent communication skills are required to ensure that accurate information is provided to the customer at all times.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
- U.S. Citizen
- Past experience working in a training environment
- Experience with ATF or DOJ
Salary Range for this position is $57K to $67K
Pay Range:Pay Range $39,650.00 - $61,000.00 - $82,350.00
