Leidos is in search of a multi-talented Producer to join our studio with an existing team of artists, programmers, and designers in creating “cutting edge” Virtual Reality (VR) and PC advanced training for the United States Air Force.  Our client is a visionary leader that is bringing VR and digital training to the forefront of Air Force technical and specialty training for Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) analyst and operators around the world. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your proven industry experience to create realistic and immersive simulations for U.S. Air Force training.

As a Producer, you will manage the day-to-day production and development of photorealistic digital assets optimized to run in real time modern game engines for PC and VR applications. You will adhere to standard industry best practices and work closely with all disciplines to help resolve development issues, enable workflow through collaboration, track schedules, burn downs, and prioritize tasks, to deliver high quality results. You will collaborate with an experienced Senior Program Manager to plan and execute immersive modeling and simulation training.  You will be required to facilitate full-scale production of synthetic environments and digital models that include but is not limited to military aircraft, weapons, vehicles, communication equipment, environmental elements (trees, sky, water, landscapes etc.), buildings/structures, and characters. Attention to detail and the ability to replicate real world operations is key to achieving our customers’ requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Support project manager and own the project, empowering the studio development team to reach success.

  • Coordinate daily stand-ups, meeting schedules, track conversation via notes and create action items.

  • Master the project schedule. Work with leadership to build and maintain project schedules.

  • Identify and mitigate project risk.

  • Exemplify professionalism, provide excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Provide development team solid tasking through deep understanding of the project delivery goals.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of direct experience in a production role, managing cross-functional teams in the creation of video games, modeling, and simulation training for commercial or Defense industry. 

  • Bachelor’s degree OR experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Production experience utilizing Unreal Engine in marketing, film, video game, or Defense industry.

  • Exceptional organization skills. Must be able to decipher military training manuals and military equipment technical orders (such as military aircraft) into project tasks for cross functional development team.

  • Deep understanding of game development process and terminology used by various disciplines.

  • Ability to collaborate with Senior Project Managers on project scope, design, methodology and support product quality control as directed.

  • Direct working experience with JIRA or similar software for both task tracking and scrum boards.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Suite. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.

  • Understand game development, simulation fundamentals and balance production tasks against business requirements.

  • Strong understanding of traditional software development process and agile methodology. Be able to create custom approach to solve unique problem sets.

  • Must be able to conduct VR functional/play testing quality assessments and provide detailed written feedback and redirect production team for rework as needed.

  • Problem solver who continuously applies risk management and mitigation techniques to keep project on schedule and moving forward.  

  • Ability to act as a stakeholder and own the quality and integrity of each software deliverable. 

  • Strong work ethic that strives for continuous process improvement and production efficiency.

  • Ability to operate in a dynamic cross-functional environment in a 100% remote working environment.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance (requires US citizenship).

  • Travel up to 5% is possible.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience as digital artist or game or general software developer.

  • Prior military experience is helpful to understanding the unique aspects of military training.

  • Experience presenting or marketing products to large audiences or dignitaries.  

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $91,000.00 - $122,850.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
