As a Material Planner, you will be an integral part of the Leidos Intelligence Business Line, supporting material acquisition plans from start to finish. You'll work closely with a Program Manager and Associate Director to generate material requirements and ensure program milestones are met.
This is the perfect opportunity for a fully cleared candidate looking to expand their skills and knowledge in the procurement industry. You'll have the chance to work with Vendors, Logistics, Receiving, and Strategic Sourcing, gaining valuable experience and expertise.
The position is initially located in Springfield, Virginia, and will move to Herndon/Reston, Virginia, in Fall 2024.

Your Main Objective:
Work with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements, including using a credit card for micro-purchases.
Work with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
Maintain reports and monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
Coordinate forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
Provide advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.
Analyze material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, and acquisition planning
Engage supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
Manage production and delivery schedules.
Required skills, experience, and education:
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years prior business experience. Equivalent work experience AND/OR training, certifications, education, and military experience combined may be considered in lieu of degree.
Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Intermediate Excel experience (Pivot Tables, Charts, v-Lookups, Bar Charts).
Must possess a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph for consideration.
US Citizenship is required.
You Might Also Have:
Buying or supply chain management experience.
Experience using IBM Maximo or Deltek Costpoint.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $91,000.00 - $122,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
