The Defense Group at Leidos currently has a dynamic job opportunity for a Configuration Analyst to work at our customer site at Langley Air Force Base, VA or Springfield, VA.  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and skill set helping the US BICES-X war fighters accomplish their important mission.  US BICES-X is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations.

With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

What Will You Do

  • Provide change management support to assigned projects.

  • Analyze and process complex engineering change requests to determine the impact on the overall system.

  • Ensure change identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.

  • Update existing change systems and support updates to the configuration systems.

  • Develop change and data management documentation based on Program requirements.

  • Identify requirements and coordinate the development and implementation of computer-based change and configuration/data management systems and related support.

  • Provide guidance and training to managers, site leads, engineers, and systems and network administrators regarding change procedures.

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of ITIL principles, methods, techniques, and best practices to configuration management and change management.

  • Serve as a local Subject Matter Expert for change management, configuration management, baseline configuration, and the procurement process for supporting external requests, data calls, and contract deliverable (CDRL) reporting to the Program Office.

  • Attend and participate in Technical Review Board and/or Change Advisory Board meetings.

  • Process service requests and change request tickets using SCSM or a similar ticketing tool.

  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

What Sets You Apart (job qualifications)

  • A Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of Configuration Analyst experience; additional years of experience may be be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • Experience using spreadsheet and database export data to create metrics and reports and possess the knowledge to generate reports and dashboards.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in change, configuration, release, asset and cyber management support.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with change management software applications.

  • A current DoD Secret level of Security Clearance required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI

  • Work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Preferred (nice to have)

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint and other

  • Experience with Tableau or a similar reporting tool

Pay Range:

Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
