The Leidos Health group is seeking a Business Analyst to perform functional and business requirements analysis and IT applications analysis, and some IT applications development as assigned.

Your Role and Work

  • Write system requirement specifications, including use cases and user stories.

  • Develop test cases, execute system testing and 508 compliance testing.

  • Recognize, diagnose, research, and resolve system and design concerns.

  • Provide development life-cycle support and evolutionary lifecycle improvements or modifications as requested.

  • Ensure appropriate Change Management processes/procedures and documentation are followed.

  • Design web pages for existing and new applications.

  • Serve as an expert and advocate to customer to translate the high-level business requirements to meaningful system requirements.

  • Document all of the requirements in a formal System Requirement Specification (SRS).

  • Help with high level UI mockups/prototypes.

  • Help with system validation once the software has been developed.

  • Work closely work with the Project Manager, technical architect, and the other development staff.

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong teamwork, ability to multi-task and a strong commitment to client service.

  • Requirements analysis and application analysis and design skills.

  • Working knowledge of distributed application environments.

  • Experience should include familiarity with standard lifecycle processes and tools and working within a team environment.

  • Knowledge with 508 compliancy.

  • Experience with developing mock-up pages, preferably using Adobe Dreamweaver.

  • Experience with developing use cases and data requirements analysis and presenting workflows of systems to user groups.

  • Experience in the development of test cases and test execution.

  • Experience with UI design.

  • Prior Child Support Enforcement experience and knowledge.

Desired skills

  • Knowledge or experience with Software Engineering (IEEE) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) standards.

  • Knowledge or experience with Full Development Life-Cycle (FDLC) methodologies.

  • Familiar with SQL tools.

  • Experience with 508 compliancy.

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming analysis methods.

  • Experience with or knowledge of data modeling and modeling tools.

  • Experience with building customer relationships to prioritize and analyze system issues.

Typical Minimums

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4-8 years of professional experience, or 2-6 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
