Job Description:
The Leidos Innovations Center at Leidos currently has an opening for an Assistant Branch Director to work in our San Diego, California office. We are seeking a broadly trained and highly motivated Technical Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
Technical Expertise:
- Signal Processing of electro-optical imagery, including both infrared and visible imagery, with an emphasis on target detection and tracking in cluttered backgrounds
- Algorithm development for detection of specific EO-IR target signatures in both space and earth backgrounds
- EO-IR sensor modeling and simulation
Business Development:
- Solution formulation for sensor development opportunities and proposals
- Proposal generation for solicited and unsolicited Government proposals
- Customer technical briefing generation and presentations
Leadership/Supervision:
- Provide leadership of 5–10-person engineering team pursuing a growing business in EO-IR sensors
- Provide leadership and management of a 5–10-person engineering team executing the development of advanced EO-IR sensors
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with 20+ years relevant experience
- U.S. Citizen with a Top-Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with advance signal processing algorithm development and implementation
- Experience developing new concepts with DoD/DARPA customers
- Team oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with people from diverse areas and disciplines

Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
