Job Description:
The Leidos Innovations Center produces and sustains sensor systems supporting Homeland Defense. You’ll directly impact the Department of Defense’s Homeland Defense mission by improving survivability and decreasing vulnerability against foreign threat systems. We are seeking an integration engineer with a hardware background to evaluate and configure new components and technologies into an operational sensor system. The ideal candidate will have a background in COTS hardware integration, with exposure to software development processes and sensor systems.
In this role you will perform the following:
Maintain a knowledge of COTS hardware products and proposed changes to those product lines
Identify and evaluate new hardware components and technologies for compatibility with existing systems
Software installations and system level testing
Analyze test results, investigate discrepancies, and propose solutions to identified issues
The successful candidate will have strong analytic and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
Essential Skills
Experience with Linux operating system and hardware drivers
Software installation and testing
Systems-level testing
Troubleshooting computer hardware components
Experience with computer standards including PCIe bus, GPU architectures, memory technologies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
4+ years in COTS hardware installation experience
4+ years in product testing experience
US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Clearance
Desired Skills
Experience working with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Analog Digital Conversion (ADC) technologies
Knowledge of basic circuit design or radar principles

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
