Description
Leidos seeks a Software Development / Test Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare (EW) business area to work primarly in the Newark / Clifton, NJ area with some opportunity for remote work. The successful candidate will plan and execute testing of state-of-the-art EW software systems, as well as contribute to their development.
The successful candidate will:
Work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
Be responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
Be responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff.
Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
Develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
Communicate with internal and client project team members.
Work to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.
Primary Responsibilities
Works within and leads teams in testing Electronic Warfare systems.
Develops software both for EW systems and verification & validation tools.
Basic Qualifications
Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
Experience with creating software test plans and procedures.
Experience with software testing and documenting results.
Experience with Object-oriented system modeling and simulation.
Version control tooling, automated testing, and software configuration management experience.
Requirement’s traceability, test design, and data analysis experience.
MATLAB coding experience
Ability to operate independently in a multi-contractor distributed team environment with minimal direction.
Active DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Linux experience
C++/Python/Java language experience
Experience transitioning algorithms to real-time software, e.g., MATLAB to C++
Experience with hardware in the loop systems.
Experience working directly with vendors or subcontractors.
Master’s degree

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
