The Distribution Field technician will be responsible for performing field data collection on distribution poles and staking new poles and lines within the scope of a project. Fielder will have a high level understanding of project scopes and be able to read engineering drawings to understand work assigned. Fielder will be expected to work professionally and safely, since they will be representing both Leidos and the client when performing field duties. Work assignments may include interaction with customers regarding projects on their property, preparing field maps, and using a PDF editor to prepare drawings to aid in customer meetings. This position requires travel by car and overnight stays for projects in other parts of the client’s territory. Fielder will be able to work outside, walk multiple miles per day on uneven surface, and swing a 5 lb hammer.
Qualifications:
o HS diploma + 1 year of relevant experience
o Must be local to the area. Will be working remotely, out of your home, and will be reimbursed for mileage.
o Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills
o Willingness to perform both field and office work.
o Overnight travel may be required (10-20% travel)
o Ability to work in outdoor environments
o Ability to utilize personal vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed), cell phone and 8MP camera
The ideal candidate has previous experience doing field work and distribution component identification. Candidates with prior Knowledge of NESC Standards and Client Standards are preferred.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $37,050.00 - $57,000.00 - $76,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
