The Data Architect will be supporting SSA’s enterprise data strategy and Data Warehouse migration efforts. SSA is working to migrate its legacy DW to the Enterprise Data Warehouse. The Architect will work within the Enterprise Architecture team to provide analytical and subject matter expertise to the migration efforts. Foundation for Success (Basic Qualifications):

This experience is the foundation a candidate needs to be successful in this position:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, technology architecture and delivery experience
• 8+ years of experience in Data Warehouse methodologies (Kimball and/or Inmon)
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in one or more ETL Tools such as informatica, SRS, Ab Initio
• Experience working with relational databases such as Greenplum, DB2, Oracle and SQL Server
• 5+ years of experience in implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions on the Cloud (AWS and/or Azure)
• 5+ years of experience with designing and developing the strategy for and building data, analytics solutions and Business intelligence solutions using Tools such as WebFocus, Tableau and Power BI
• 4+ years of experience with Enterprise and/or Legacy data migration efforts
• Experience supporting complex Federal IT programs.
• Experience with Cloud Migration, Continuous Integration (CI) Tools, Data Migration, Data Operations and DevOps
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences through formal training sessions, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

• Hands-on experience with programming languages Python, Java, and/or Perl
• Hands-on experience in Unix shell scripting (Bash, Korn etc..)
• Hands-on experience in SQL including T-SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience leading the design and integration of enterprise level data solutions to include capturing technical requirements and defining solutions in the form of conceptual, logical and physical designs and the ability to articulate these concepts verbally, graphically and in writing.
• Experience with innovation and optimization of ongoing processes
• Experience with designing data delivery solutions for active and future work leveraging modern DataOps principles and tools

• Coordinate and collaborate with data consumers, system designers, and developers in their day-to-day functions. Effective communication, team management, problem-solving, and leadership.

Education & Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience in a training-related field or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a training-related field
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
