The NAREL program at Leidos is looking for an Software Developer!
Leidos is seeking a Software Developer to support EPA National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory, Montgomery, AL.
The Leidos Civil group has an opening for a software developer to support EPA’s NAREL (National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory) located in Montgomery, AL.,
Leidos provides support to EPA network infrastructure, system administration, Oracle databases, and general IT services. In this role you will design, implement, and maintains complex databases with respect to Job Control Language (JCL) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Should have a thorough knowledge with current technological environments specifically Oracle integration with Internet, Web-based Client/Server security, Microsoft Operating System (OS) software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of Oracle databases, 12c and 19c.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Oracle network configurations, which use Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/ Internet Protocol (IP) connections, within the NAREL LAN.
- Integrate with software development tasks to insure operational capability for Oracle products.
- Assist in the collection, documentation and reporting of IT data to EPA leadership as needed.
- Implementing and supporting Agency-developed applications and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of relevant prior experience OR Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of degree.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
- Have knowledge and/or experience with Oracle fusion Middleware, Microsoft SQL Server.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have knowledge and/or experience with Java and C++.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
