Job Description:
The Davis Manufacturing Group at Leidos is seeking a Material Handler to work in our Arvada, CO office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience meeting customer satisfaction and on time delivery mission. The selected candidate will support the shipping and receiving processes to assure jobs are flowed to the shop, sent out to vendors and shipped to customers. Candidate will work with shipping supervisor to ensure all shipping and receiving processes and procedures are followed and meet customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.
- Follow shipping and receiving processes
- Packs parts for transport per requirements
- Loads/unloads material to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas
- Performs inventory transactions and maintains inventory accuracy/cycle counts
- Performs purchase order and manufacturing order receiving activities
- Issues materials/components to manufacturing orders
- Reviews paperwork against requirements
- Transports material to and from vendors when needed
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with minimum 2 years of related experience in Manufacturing or Warehouse Operations
- Competent in use of computer software
- Competent in written and verbal communications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing work flow
- Understanding of MRP concepts and processes
- Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with occasional variables
- Physical stamina to perform regular duties, including:
- Lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
- Stand for long periods of time
- Valid Driver’s License
- US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- ERP system (business software) similar to Costpoint
- Metal sawing/machining capabilities
- Forklift certified
Pay Range:
Pay Range $36,400.00 - $56,000.00 - $75,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
