Description
The Davis Manufacturing Group at Leidos is seeking a Material Planner to work in our Arvada, CO office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to meet our on time delivery mission. The selected candidate will review MRP messages and open order reports to transact PO requisitions for timely purchase order placement. The candidate will monitor and communicate with vendors in order to assure timely delivery and communicate internally status of open purchase orders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor customer forecasts and demands, creates and releases purchase requisitions to support requirements.
- Selects appropriate suppliers to meet requirements.
- Monitor capacity at suppliers, expedites as required.
- Manage and maintain supplier quality, delivery and cost performance.
- Work with purchasing agents to assure timely placement of Purchase Orders.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 3-5 years as planner, scheduler, or buyer in discrete manufacturing environment
- Competent in use of computer software
- Competent in written and verbal communications
- Basic understanding of manufacturing work flow
- Understanding of MRP concepts and processes
- US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred
Pay Range:
Pay Range $36,400.00 - $56,000.00 - $75,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
