Electrical Distribution Engineer
Pune

You’ll be based at our offices in Pune and will support US-based major engineering projects.
As an Electrical Distribution Engineer here at Leidos, you will be involved in designing and coordinating the maintenance of electrical utilities and associated power distribution systems on behalf of our prestigious clients.
You are proficient in GIS design, familiar with GIS and WMS systems such as GE Smallworld, Bentley Expert Designer or Maximo. You have experience in structural analysis, guying calculations, cable-pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, calculations of electric demand and fault currents.
You will gain experience in coordination of conflicting utilities, and other field engineering design requirements, the assessment and development of designing big packages for complex cable/conduit projects in dense urban environments, work permit development, easements and ROW applications, and the design of mainline vault medium voltage switchgear, network system design and distribution system protection and coordination.

About You
Ideally degree qualified in an engineering subject (electrical preferred)
Well versed in GIS (Geospatial Information System) software such as Smallworld, Bentley Expert Designer or Maximo.
Experience of working with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering. You may have previously worked on projects in other countries such as the US.
Experience with Voltage Conversion projects, Road Widening Projects, Major Underground Projects, Conductor replacements, and OH to UG conversions
