Leidos has an opportunity to support the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) as part of the Spaceflight System Development and Operations Contract (SpaceDOC) in Cleveland, OH.
SpaceDOC supports GRC efforts to define, design, develop, analyze, fabricate, assemble, test, verify, deliver and/or operate space flight systems for multiple Programs including ISS, SLS, Orion, and Gateway.
The SpaceDOC Manufacturing and Production Manager (TSP&M) reports directly to the Program Manager, supervises the day-to-day Technical Services Department activities and is the primary technical point of contact for the SpaceDOC contract to NASA’s Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is responsible for the technical support and production and manufacturing personnel in his department, including performance evaluations, counseling, and training. The TSP&M Manager manages the inventory manager who reports to him and is responsible for scheduling of critical parts, storage, and facility management, handles all aspects of the supply chain to include shipping and receiving/inspection and demand planning, maintains property management records and conduct property audits, and is responsible for inventory control and bonded storage.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related technical field
- 15 years directly related technical, professional & management experience
- Direct experience as a Technical Manager for an organization of 40+ direct report and matrix organization personnel
- Strong background in operations, maintenance, quality assurance, safety and environmental assurance, and project management
- Excellent communicator (written and oral)
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with processing of and development and testing of flight and special test equipment
- Experience with component refurbishment and precision cleaning, special personal protection equipment (PPE) maintenance, calibration activities, machining and welding, drafting, and pressure systems management
- Knowledge of NASA client, rules, and regulations
- Government contract experience
Due to contract requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
