The Defense Group has a dynamic job opportunity for a Configuration Manager to work at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. This is a great opportunity as you’ll be a part of the Office of Naval Intelligence Hopper Configuration Management team, responsible for supporting the change modification request process utilizing Remedy tickets for software applications, submissions, verification, monitoring activities, and requirements. In addition, you will evaluate and recommend adopting new or enhanced products and approaches to IT programs or services.
What Will You Do
Advise leadership in adopting new or enhanced products and approaches to IT programs or services.
Assure software purchases meet mission requirements, are cost-effective in software usage, limit redundancy, and enforce uniformity.
Propose automated tools to the customer, and their configuration, to complement and reinforce the Office of Naval Intelligence Configuration Management process and policy.
Recommend resolutions to the customer and leadership of complex issues impacting operations in varying specialty areas, to include licensing, software requirements and controversial matters.
Manage the Office of Naval Intelligence functional software requirements
Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise (job qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of related work experience or Masters with 10 or more years of related work experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Extensive experience with high visibility customer-facing environments.
Comprehensive experience in Lifecycle Management and Configuration Management
Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) tools, Change Modification Requests (CMRs) and Remedy tickets for software applications, submissions, verification, monitoring activities, and requirements.
Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in the following
Configuration Management process, policies, and implementation.
Drafting, creating, and finalizing a Configuration Management Plan and Policy.
Microsoft (MS) Excel (including macros, pivot tables/data. analysis tools), MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
Project Management skills for schedule-focused projects.
Required Certifications
IAT Level II or Higher certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
Any industry Configuration Management Certification; Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM) Certification (preferred)
ITIL Foundation Certified
Clearance Requirement
A current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Travel Requirement
Up to 10% travel may be required within the National Capital Region

Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
