Leidos is seeking a Sr. Solution Architect with broad expertise in servers, networks, storage, cyber, and data center facilities to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD.
PROGRAM/POSITION SUMMARY:
The DES program supports a highly demanding mission and requires support from top technical and management talent to migrate common IT services for over twenty DoD agencies under a common platform. You will play a key role in directing the technical teams throughout the engineering lifecycle (identification and assessment, discovery, design, and implementation planning) in support of building a world-class Single Service Provider for the Department of Defense. This role will set standards and ensure consistent execution across multiple technical engineering teams. A successful candidate will lead a cross-functional technical teams to support the discovery analysis and design activities to migrate common IT services from over twenty large-scale DoD agencies into DoDNet. A successful candidate will be technically well-rounded, producing quality work with special attention to the right details.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must hold an active Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serve as the senior migration architect, leading the design and implementation planning to consolidate DoD agencies’ services across infrastructure, network, identity, hosting, support, and end user capabilities.
•Provide hands-on engineering and technical leadership for overall migration assessment, planning, architecture, design, and implementation tasks.
•Set standards, enhance architectures, and provide technical guidance to ensure consistent delivery and quality of service across multiple government agencies.
•Oversee and coordinate technical migration planning activities while monitoring and managing risks.
•Brief senior DoD / Government management on active and proposed plans, technical issues, and architectural tradeoffs.
•Work with the project teams to identify risks, dependencies, and propose mitigation activities to deliver migrations on schedule and within budget.
•Work with team leadership to develop, enhance, and implement standardized migration processes and procedures.
•Work across team members to document migration lessons learned for continual improvement of future migration activities.
•Drive automation capabilities that increase engineering velocity and improved service delivery.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master's degree and 15+ years of relevant work experience, additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
•Experience planning and executing large/complex IT migrations and consolidations.
•Experience with discovery, event management and ITSM tools.
•In-depth understanding of cloud and network topologies, both transport and IP.
•This position requires extensive writing and the selected candidate MUST have superb writing skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Familiarization of DISA, DOD regulations, and directives.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
