The Leidos Civil Group currently has an opening for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to work in our Oak Ridge, TN, facility – which serves as a non-possessing facility for Department of Energy (DOE) contracts and subcontracts.  The incumbent will serve as a member of the Climate, Energy, and Environment Division and have functions reporting to the Leidos Corporate Security Team.

We are looking for candidates who enjoy working at the enterprise-wide level, who are proactive and innovative in thought, and who consider themselves to be customer service oriented.  The incumbent should be able to perform various security-related tasks and manage complex, often disparate, decentralized systems and processes. The FSO will support at the enterprise-wide level administering and ensuring compliance with company and customer security policies and managing the security clearances of those within the Climate, Energy, and Environmental Division as well as the Civil Group.  The incumbent must possess a broad knowledge of both the U. S. Department of Energy Orders, rules, regulations, and procedures, as well as National Industrial Security Program processes and requirements.  The incumbent will interface with both the internal customers as well as DOE and subcontractor personnel. This position reports to the Business Area Lead for Nuclear Policy, Science, and Security, and will provide daily support to DOE contracts under the Oak Ridge, TN, facility code as well as other DOE-related contracts in the Civil Group.

This is a full-time hybrid position located in Oak Ridge, TN with 1-3 days a week required onsite. Candidate can work full-time between 30 – 40 hours, depending on desired level of work.

Required Clearance:  Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with DOE/Contractor requirements for non-possessing facilities.

  • Prepare and submit clearance request packages according to customer requirements.

  • Work with contractors and contracts to prepare and ensure Contract Security Classification Specifications (CSCS) are complete and registered for all contracts with security clauses.

  • Support Work Relations in administrating Workplace Substance Abuse Program requirements for DOE contracts.

  • Maintain Corporate Security Information Management System (SIMS) database with clearance and contract information for facility code.

  • Maintain, update, and ensure compliance with Technology Control Plan for Oak Ridge, TN, facility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance (reinvestigation within last 5 years).

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of DOE Security-related Orders.

  • Working knowledge of SF-86/eQIP, SF-312, Contract Security Classification Specifications (CSCS), and other required forms.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the SIMS database

  • Current DOE FSO Training Course completed.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $91,000.00 - $122,850.00
