Description

Leidos Defense Group is seeking a Senior Network Administrator, in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) located at Ft Meade, MD.  DISA acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD), and national security organizations.  The candidate will be a senior team member managing Tier III/Lab Environment support for a major DISA program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works independently to perform configuration of lab supporting assets to include switches, load balancers, routers, and Firewalls

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, updates and implement security measures on Cisco Juniper, and Dell network assets.

  • Create and maintain system documentation, configuration management, and change management efforts accurately and timely

  • Complete checklists and manage devices to mitigate cyber security controls and measures as required.

  • Assist in the implementation of global projects for Network architecture upgrades by providing technical insight, projected necessary actions, timelines, and resource availability

  • Implement recurring security requirements on network devices

  • Communicate with external partners to coordinate troubleshooting efforts where required.

  • Utilize moderate System Administration skills in both Linux and Windows environments to navigate current systems while managing network assets.

  • Provide architectural and topology recommendations where efficiencies can be made.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 8+ years of overall related experience, or additional years of experience will suffice in lieu of degree 

  • At least 3 years Linux and/or Windows familiarity

  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, e.g. Security+ce or higher.

  • Currently possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to acquire a Top Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Integration of Network Management (NM) and Element Management (EM) systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.  

  • Experience with a ticketing system such as BM, Service Now, ITSM or Remedy.

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certified

  • Experience working with virtual environments.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
