Leidos is seeking an Electric Distribution Engineering Manager in Orlando, FL. Successful candidates must live in the greater Orlando area to provide local support to our utility client and internal teams as required. Relocation Assistance could be provided to qualified candidates.

As the Distribution Engineering Manager, you'll manage and oversee a team responsible for developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards. Your role will require leading other distribution engineers, oversight and QA/QC of both simple and complex engineering projects, working directly with clients, and ensuring the Leidos reputation of high quality is maintained. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitate client & team collaboration and communication; managing resource loading based on clients demands.
• Provide technical oversight, direction, and support for project teams.
• Function as client point of contact and liaison on project-related issues. 
• Collaborate with the other design managers on broad client issues including schedule adherence and team quality control
• Meet with direct reports to providing guidance and assist in career development

Basic Requirements for this position:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering an engineering discipline
• A minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing distribution design engineering
• Ability to provide reliable transportation (Local customer/job related travel is anticipated and will be reimbursed at IRS approved rates)
• Demonstrated history managing engineering teams
• Professional Engineer license is preferred, but not required

We prefer Candidates with the following previous experience:

• Supervisory/Leadership position(s)
• Execution of distribution projects from kickoff through design approved
• QA/QC
• Customer interaction & process documentation
• Experience with the NESC
