The Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Cyber Network Security Engineer to work at a Government site in Springfield, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the RECON mission. In this mission we provide Research and Development (R&D) services, technical engagement, and outreach focused on new techniques, algorithms, and tools in support of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for R&D WAN network environment, network security, and configuration of related network hardware and software.
Analyze and implement security solutions in alignment with a security strategy and serve as focal point with site security and security accreditation personnel to lead and achieve security accreditation/ATO.
Maintain an awareness of market and technology trends to bring best of breed solutions to the client.
Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge.
Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Work without considerable direction and mentor or supervise team members.
Potential for a hybrid role with a combination of working at a contractor's office or client site and working remotely.
25% occasional travel.
Basic Qualifications:
TS/SCI security clearance with willingness and ability to obtain a Poly.
BS degree and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
10+ years’ experience with cybersecurity / network engineering for DoD, federal, or commercial clients.
3+ years’ experience configuring routers/switches and network appliances; hands on experience racking and cabling routers/switches and network appliances.
3+ years’ experience with firewall and/or IDP/IDS administration (FCR).
2+ years’ experience working with IPTABLES.
1+ year experience working with Software Defined Networking and/or Service Mesh.
2+ years working with access control layer administration.
2+ years’ experience with IP network administration and BGP, OSPF, QUAGGA, EIGRP dynamic routing protocols.
Direct experience with, and knowledge of, the FedRAMP Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation process and the activities required to lead, obtain, and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO) for the DoD/Intelligence community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools.
1+ years working with git command line interface (exposure or awareness are acceptable).
2+ years’ experience with Linux administration.
AWS cloud certification or experience.
Experience with maintaining CI/CP pipeline for automating security and networking appliance configurations.
Ability to assist/guide project Site Reliability Engineers with network related hardware tasks.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
