Description
Responsible for planning and preparation of SQA (Software Quality Assurance) documents and procedures, and assisting all levels of division or project personnel in software quality and security-related matters.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that software products and systems are developed and maintained to meet the required quality standards and functional requirements.
- Perform oversight and continuous improvements of the SQA program and support the implementation of SQA requirements
- Support software owners in grading SQA requirements based on risk, safety, life cycle, and complexity
- Has knowledge regarding the development and maintenance of SQA-associated system application(s) and support tools
- Remains conversant with industry’s computer security technology, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) standards, applicable Department of Energy (DOE) Orders and Guides, including but not limited to DOE O 200.1, Information Technology Management; and DOE O 414.1, Quality Assurance, Contractor Quality Assurance Plans, 10 Code of Federal Regulations 830.
- Researches the latest information technology security trends
- Develops, evaluates, reviews, and updates training for personnel who use software and apply SQA requirements to software lifecycle phases
- Knowledge is based upon a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, principles, standard practices, techniques, and methods applicable to both software security and quality assurance efforts
- May perform surveillance and inspections in accordance to the applicable site or department procedure.
- Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates the ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner
- Functions effectively in a team environment
- Possess the ability to work independently
- Meets task and project deadlines under stressful situations
- Design test plans, scenarios, or procedures.
- Document software defects, using a bug-tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
- Other technical, cyber, records, and general administrative duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or associated field preferred, with related experience preferredExperienced with Microsoft SharePoint preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance at an L level.
- Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills
- Knowledge of Windows systems
- Strong proficient PC skills including Microsoft applications and Adobe Acrobat
- Detail oriented
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge of information classification types is a plus. (e.g., CUI, PII, ECI, FOIA, and, HIPAA)
Pay Range:
Pay Range $53,300.00 - $82,000.00 - $110,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
