Description
The Maritime Solutions Division (MSD) of Leidos develops and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions of national importance for a broad range of customers across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and commercial clients.
Areas of business for the office this role will support include development, demonstration, and production of advanced ocean sensor systems and payload subsystems, and integration of those systems with manned and unmanned maritime platforms. Current and future projects span advanced concept and prototype development, low-rate initial production, maintenance planning and requirements development for Navy facilities, and innovative long-term designs for multiple customers.
Leidos MSD is currently seeking an entry level logistics professional to assist in multiple roles integrating into and supporting a team of engineers and program managers in Poulsbo, WA. This is a part-time position.
In consideration of the diverse roles and skill sets that this person may take on, both qualified candidates and candidates requiring on the job training will be considered. Experience in one or more of the following areas is valued in supporting the team’s needs. The multiple roles where assistance is may be sought include:
Core Support Roles:
- Logistics management
- Technical sales/procurement
- Engineering drawing management
- Receiving and inspection
- Quality Assurance Support
- Facility Maintenance Support and Organization
- Participation in ISO 9001 processes
- Communication between engineers, PMs, logistics POCs, procurement POCs, and customers and functional peer groups
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical drawings
Potential for:
- In-field engineering and logistics support opportunities
- Training and support in technician roles
- Training and support in CAD drafting roles
- Technical writing and review
- Software Management
- Forklift support
The candidate Leidos is looking for is detailed orientated, organized, quality focused, eagerness to learn and support team, a good communicator, and willingness to support the team where needed to get the job done.
Position may eventually require periodic travel and coordination with engineering activities at other Leidos facilities and government facilities, in multiple locations across the United States.
The MSD team not only includes the Poulsbo office where the employee will be home based, but also includes an outstanding group of engineers and scientists, located in Arlington VA, Long Beach MS, Newport RI, Poulsbo WA, San Diego CA, and other sites around the United States, who support a broad range of activities ranging from advanced prototype development for DARPA, ONR and other S&T customers to provide support for ongoing Navy missions. The successful applicant will become part of a world class team that is a recognized leader in maritime systems development.

- Good communications skills
- Must have ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance
Must also be able to:

e. transit to and from a marine vessel including transiting up and down marina gangways at varying angles as needed during travel

Pay Range:
Pay Range $39,650.00 - $61,000.00 - $82,350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
