The E&CS Operation at Leidos currently has an opening for a Network Engineer in support of our contract supporting the USAF Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI). ABMS is a top modernization priority for the DAF and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2).
Primary Responsibilities
Full stack development spanning frontend and backend applications to include Javascript (Node and React), HTML and CSS.
Support the Program and customer with both physical networks as well as virtual network services in IaaS
Leverage Atlassian tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence to track development activities, control source code, and author documentation
Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness
Generate clear and maintainable documentation
Generate visual media that can communicate the benefits of a software tool or system to both technical and non-technical audiences
Provide input/suggestions on technical approach to the Agile Team Leads
Interface with Air Force, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), and other Consortium Members to ensure Consortium requirements and operational objectives are met
Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of Consortium Objectives
Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal/formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews
Document interfaces and standards
Contribute to the risk management process
Additional responsibilities as needed by the program
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant IaaS experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant IaaS experience
Experience with both physical networks as well as virtual network services in IaaS
Experience with NSA Type 1 network encryption devices
CCNA or equivalent
Security+
DoD 8570 Level 2
ACDevOps, ASA, AZ-1004T00, or equivalent
US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
Experience developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system, reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility, implementing data strategies and developing physical data models, and updating and optimizing local and possible metadata models and systems.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
