As a key member of the DTRA I2TS IOC Cybersecurity department, you'll have the opportunity to provide critical support to 24x7x365 cybersecurity monitoring and response efforts across DTRA's distributed network operations environment.

Your Main Objective:
Monitor, provide forensic best practices, and deliver computer network defense services in a manner that effectively safeguards the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DTRA-supported network environments and Information Technology infrastructure.
Provide the required resources and expertise to ensure compliance with DoD CSSP Evaluators Securing Metrics (ESM), including the actions required to maintain and improve the security posture of a standalone Forensic Recovery of Evidence Device (FRED) workstation.
Provide support within the existing CSSP structure, which includes four simultaneously running processes to assist and defend the system subscriber. Processes include a Protect Team, a Detect Team, a Response Team, and a Sustain Team.
Possess the skills, knowledge, and experience required for accurately performing analysis and guiding the CSSP teams on the proper procedures for conserving digital evidence.
The Challenge:
In this role, you will be assigned to the Response and Detection team. Specific CSSP Forensic services include…
Ensuring forensically sound acquisition and preservation of incident data. Data includes volatile (i.e., system registers, cache, RAM), persistent (i.e., system images, logs, malware), and environmental (i.e., location, configuration data), as applicable.
A process for collecting relevant incident data (e.g., shutdown/disconnect policy, related system data collection, etc.)
Personnel can demonstrate audit log review process.
The CSSP Detect Team continuously monitors the DTRA enterprise network for unauthorized activity.
Perform all source cyber threat research and analysis.
Perform trending and analysis of the security posture of the agency and its subscribers.
Perform proactive “hunting” for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and areas of concern.
The CSSP Response Team supports incident response, analysis, and reporting as appropriate to the Tier I US CyberCom and DTRA Leadership.
The Sustain Team maintains the integrity and security of the CSSP SecureNet enclaves and associated security tools, including Splunk, Bro, Symantec, Tipping Point IDS, security enclave, network taps, Sidewinder firewalls (etc.), and ensures compliance with the new Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
Performance measures for this requirement focus on compliance with cybersecurity standards for on-time reporting (consistent with CJCSM 6510.01B) and passing all DoD CSSP Evaluators Securing Metrics (ESM) reviews.
The next re-certification will occur in 3rd Quarter Calendar Year (CY) 25.
What Sets You Apart:
Requires a BS degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
Cyber Security Analyst and Forensic experience.
Approved professional forensic training.
Must have a current DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Analyst certification, CYSA+ preferred.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
