Leidos has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Tester on the Next Generation Enterprise Network Re-compete (NGEN-R) Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract supporting the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). NGEN-R SMIT is the U.S. Navy’s largest IT services program valued up to $7.7 billion over 8 years, supporting over 600,000 users at over 1,600 locations. The Leidos team modernizes, maintains, and operates a broad range of IT services for NMCI, including cybersecurity, data centers, network operation, end user support, and data transport. NMCI is in a continuous evolution of enhancements to existing solutions and application of new technologies, which provides engaging assignments.

The Senior Tester position is a member of our Service Validation and Test (SVT) team. The SVT team plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of changes to systems and the IT services they support and receiving Government approval to deploy changes to the operational system. The SVT team collaborates across the Systems Engineering lifecycle, engaging in the development of requirements and architecture, working with solution leads to understand the solution implementation, verifying requirements with the Government customer, and supporting operational testing post-deployment.

This position is on-site at a laboratory environment in the San Diego area, with some remote/virtual work.

What You'll Get to Do:
•Serve as a senior test engineer working with teams of engineers to improve and maintain systems that provide IT services to over 600,000 users.
•Support requirements analysis by providing input for verification method and acceptance criteria and reviewing requirements quality, such as verifiability.
•Communicate with solution leads and technical experts about system changes.
•Develop plans to inspect, demonstrate, test, and analyze complex system changes.  
•Review test plans developed by other test engineers.
•Develop procedures and test cases to verify requirements.  Review test procedures and test cases developed by other test engineers.
•Conduct test events, such as integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, dry-runs, verification testing, Government Witness Test, post-deployment testing, and user acceptance testing.
•Develop reports on the completion of test events.  
•Review test reports developed by other test engineers.
•Mentor and lead other test engineers.
•Develop key project deliverables related to test events and submit them for government customer review and approval.
•Collaborate with other testers, systems engineers, technical experts, project managers, system operators, and Government stakeholders.
•Support proposal teams by evaluating new projects for the need for test team activities and create estimates for the test team labor needed to perform those activities.
•Work with the SVT team to identify and implement process improvements.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires B.S. Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience (in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant field). Four years of additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
•U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. 
•Located in the San Diego area with ability to work on-site at the laboratory environment and at-home/virtual.
•Experience testing IT systems and services.
•Experience verifying requirements.
•Experience conducting Government Witness Tests.
•Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and test report.

•Experience testing network transport systems.
•Experience testing IT end user systems and services.
•Experience testing cybersecurity systems and services.
•Experience testing data center systems and services.
•Experience testing cloud services.
•Experience creating basis of estimates.
•Experience with test automation or writing software scripts.
•Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
•Experience with Agile and waterfall development lifecycles. 

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
