The Civil Group at Leidos has an opening for a Performance Analysis/Modeling Engineer on the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) End User Support Services (EUS) contract. In this role you will join a team of seasoned professionals focused on providing End User Networking and Performance Modeling Support Service to our customer in the Central United States. This position provides a tremendous opportunity for growth in a customer-facing, fast-paced, and challenging environment. This role is focused on day-to-day operations for Headquarters, Regional offices, and various satellite offices.
Primary Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will function as the Performance Analysis/Modeling Engineer as part of the End User Services Team supporting the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This position requires a candidate with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
This candidate will report to the Leidos Network Administration Manager and provide Performance Analysis/Modeling support for IT service-related activities in support of the HUD EUS contract. The selected candidate must possess a broad knowledge of networking operations, protocols, expertise in network packet analysis and excellent problem identification and resolution skills. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams for problem identification and resolution and is required to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people of varying knowledge levels. The candidate must be willing to share knowledge and upskill fellow team members. Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for installation, administration, maintenance, and use of the following products and tools:

SolarWinds Orion NPM (Network Performance Monitor)
SolarWinds Orion NTA (NetFlow Traffic Analyzer)
SolarWinds Orion WPM (Web Performance Monitor)
WireShark packet capture and analysis tool
Documentation of standard IT processes and procedures.
Implement and maintain compliance policy across the environment.
The ideal candidate will work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables, and will be responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area.
They will be responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff and developing technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
They will work to develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. The ability to communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (project managers, other technical resources, etc.) and client team members will be key.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in the Information Technology field
Relevant CompTIA Networking and Industry Certifications
Experience in the Information Technology field with a strong exposure to networking principles and best practices..
Self-started and able to work independently while effectively communicating with other team members, organizations, and customers.
Professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients.
Minimum 4 years of proven experience in a heavy customer focus position involving and technical knowledge of a companies' products and services
Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.
Comfortable working in and assisting others through remote access desktop programs.
Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Linux.
Experience installing and configuring computer systems, applications, and devices for a large company.
Experience with networking principles, technologies and troubleshooting principles.
Experience with alerting and monitoring best practices, tools, and products.
Ability to obtain/maintain public trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Networking experience and certifications
Hands-on experience with switches, firewalls, and routers
Strong understanding of networking concepts
Ability to document networking architecture.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Pay Range:
Pay Range $66,300.00 - $102,000.00 - $137,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
