The Defense Group of Leidos currently has a career opportunity for an ITSM Specialist to work at Joint Base Andrews, MD on the AFNCR IT Services program.
Job Summary:
The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. the major support areas required are it operations and maintenance plans, projects, and engineering (PP&E) the senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment. The seleceted candidate will provide SME level support for BMC Remedy at Joint Base Andrews with potential travel to other selected locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide tier 3 level support of ITSM ServiceNow and Remedy solution.
This involves planning, analysis, detailed design, developing & coding, testing and implementing of the components.
Strong technical expertise with service management control methodologies, service level agreements, SLA metrics and reporting-hands-on SME understanding of BMC Remedy ITSM, including significant experience with enterprise design.
Designs and codes improvements and fixes in accordance with funtional and technical programming standards and standard methodologies.
ServiceNow Administration task may include, design, develop, build, and customize applications or provide support responsibilities to end-users of the software.
Thorough understanding of networking and virtualization concepts.
Apply patches and updates to ensure applications are properly secured and up to date provide recommendations to the customer for version upgrades and major revisions.
Perform analysis and documentation of requirements and corresponding process analysis, monitor and manage the operating systems supporting the Remedy servers.
Create and manage user documentation and provide one-on-one user assistance and planned user training as necessary.
Other duties include execution of daily battle rhythm activities, monitor and resolve ticket queues, and monitor backup and system logs.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of related experience, training, and/or certifications accepted in lieu of a degree.
Must hold current at start date DOD 8570 IAT level II certification Security+ CE or higher.
Currently possess a DOD Secret security clearance.
Experience with developing sound solutions to complex problems, produce system level reports, report status to senior level management.
Experience supporting ServiceNow.
Proven subject matter expert skills working with BMC Remedy.
Experiene resolving BMC Remedy highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.
Air Force National Capital Region IT Services program experience.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
